Hi all,
with potential possibly for a little snow on northern hills mid week I thought it would be interesting to see when the first frosts occur for people.

Central southern England we have a ground frost and temp currently of 0.4C local official temp -0.1C

I know it is quite frosty here (herts).

Can you link to where I can get current temps/latest observations?

Metcheck seems to have bug atm?

invisibleink · 17/10/2010 09:02

We had to de-ice the car on Monday/Tuesday this week and there was a small sprinkling of frosty dew. We are in South Wales.

littlerach · 17/10/2010 09:19

Really frosty here (West Wilts countryside)

All the cars are frosted, grass is white.

Weather station not working so no idea of temp.

Crunchy grass at 7am here but very sunny so it didn't last two minutes. Not a proper frost exactly but getting there. That's North Devon, inland.

OhYouBadBadGhostie · 17/10/2010 12:53

not bad though for mid October eh Tippy?

Tippychoocks · 17/10/2010 12:57

Fabulous Grin. Saves me being too ashamed of the lack of work I've done in the garden as most of the annuals are still going strong.

howlingatthefullmoonmother · 20/10/2010 07:16

First frost of winter here in South Bedfordshire

Heavy frost here this morning, no surprise though as it was really crispy cold by about 6 last night.

Heating on as soon as we got up this morning

It's minus 1 here (north oxon) and I have just scraped the car free of ice. Not looking forward to sliding all the way to preschool.

whomovedmychocolate · 21/10/2010 08:27

If it wasn't so cold I'd swear that was a snow cloud in the sky too! Shock
