I look out of the window and can see 3 months into the future; it's at least October out there

I knew this would happen. Children about to break up for hols.

LOVED the heatwave! Pleeeeeease come back sun.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 15/07/2010 11:04

Is it wrong for me to be enjoying the weather? It's nice to have a break from the heat.

I did grow up on the Penines and love grey, gusty weather, especially when I'm baking brownies.

I thought it was a baby name thread and your weere suggesting Windy for a July baby. It would be a nature name...

MumInBeds · 15/07/2010 11:10

tell me about it!

jooseyfruit · 15/07/2010 11:12

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/07/2010 11:18

blimey MuminBeds.

Weather map looks like it has a bad case of measles, intense showers right across the uk.

Boiledegg, at the moment I am enjoying the change. However, I have a 4 mile cycle ride later in this. will be....interesting.

Very very windy n Leicestershire.I was at work this morning and nearly got blown over. All my stuff was blowing about and I ended up leaving an hour early,as it was pointless trying to achieve anything.Am due to go to another job in about 10 mins and really hoping that they ring to cancel.

Be careful on that bike OYBBK.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 15/07/2010 14:05

DD's sunflowers have just blown over, and we have had about 12 powercuts so far.

Hope you are safe later OYBK

We're in Gloucestershire.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/07/2010 17:20

was quite exciting being blown along randomly

hope the job went ok 101.
Boiledegg - sad about the sunflowers. hope you don't get cut off completely.

Bike ride not too taxing then, with a little help from the wind!

Talking to my friend this morning who's getting married on Saturday (so some nice weather would be nice for 2pm in the South Leicestershire area!) and she said they had their rehearsal at the church last night, while a thunderstorm was going on. She said the lights in the church were dipping and cutting out. I said, "It's an omen I tell ye, an omen!"

Looks like we're in for some heavy wind and rain tonight so I'm off to tie everything down and tie the sunflowers up, so they can't fall over!

muggglewump · 15/07/2010 20:01

It's been raining for two weeks here.
I knew it would, the minute the schools broke up.

I'm beyond fed up with it, as is DD. We want to use our tent.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/07/2010 20:44

Good plan Petunia!

muggle - I feel for you, been rotten up there.
