I'd heard they were just asking people to go in and get a replacement strap rather than recalling the whole chair.

The clip isn't strong enough and is opening on some older models.

Not a problem if you've replaced it with a 5 point harness

Hi Blatherskite, which reins did you buy from Toys R Us? I've got one of the recalled highchairs but I've moved overseas so I want to make sure I get some reins that I know I can fit to the highchair, was it the 'Bruin Navy Baby Safety Harness'
Many Thanks,

Kayla, I got the pink ones but yes, they were Bruin. I got the navy set for my Mum's chair and they were exactly the same.

Great thanks Blatherskite - I'll get some ordered :-)

i've spent 3 months trying to get the tray off my antilop, getting increasingly frustrated and sweary. one google and a look at this thread later, and i swear the tray threw itself at me.

(by that i mean i read the thread. not the high chair - it couldn't see the laptop screen. maybe it's psychic Hmm)

Everyone -- I figured out the easiest way to remove the tray, and at absolutely no risk of smacking yourself in the face, or catapulting the tray across the room. I made a video to demonstrate:

I hope this helps mothers getting here because of a google search:
