I find reading threads like this incredibly helpful when I'm having a wobble (as there is such a variation from child to child, day to day - something I KNOW but find it easy to forget, then stress!), so thought I'd start one. Feel free to say how much they ate of each thing served if you like, or just share what was offered for inspiration. It can be so hard to figure out what to feed babies sometimes! I'll keep updating this thread for my own benefit even if no one else joins in lol.
My daughter is 9mo (tomorrow) and my third child so few weaning-specific recipes coming from me this time around.
9mo:
Breastfeed
Breakfast - Banana porridge with flaxseeds and ground brazil nuts/macadamias, cherry and apricot chia jam (ate more than 4yo brother, as usual)
40 min nap
5oz bottle of formula (starting to realise I can probably drop this now and add in another meal and BF if needed... but fitting that in with the other kids feels daunting as she naps over our family lunchtime and a bottle is so easy...)
Breastfeed
2-3hr nap
-- after this point hasn't happened yet but I know she will breastfeed a lot before dinner
Breastfeed
Breastfeed
Basmati rice, beef mince and grated carrot cooked with ginger and garlic (+teriyaki sauce for everyone else!), green beans. Greek yoghurt if she still seems hungry after or if most of dinner goes on the floor
5oz formula before bed
