Help!

I'm currently weaning my 8 month old from breast feeding on demand plus solids to bottles/formula plus solid food and I'm unsure if I'm giving enough milk! I've actually done this before with older child but it was a while ago and I feel so confused...any example schedules would really reassure me.

Thank you in advance. Smile

6.30 Bf
7.30 Breakfast e.g. porridge/toast
9.00 may have fruit snack
9.30 nap
11.00 Bottle
12.30 Lunch with fruit for dessert
14.30 Nap
15.50 Bottle
17.00 Dinner
18.00 Bf
18.30 Bath
19.00 Bed

Hope this is useful! Had a similar schedule for my first.

4am ish bottle, usually about 150ml (think i I'll try reducing this one)
7.30 breakfast
9.00 bottle (usually about 100ml)
12 lunch
13.00 bottle (usually about 100ml)
16.00 snack
17.30 tea
18.30 bottle (usually 200ml,sometimes finished after bath)
19.00 bed

Sometimes she has her milk before a nap and sometimes after depending on timings, and if she doesn't eat so well at meal time (I. E. If she doesn't like something!) she'll drink more milk. I always offer 200ml but she usually only finishes her bedtime bottle.

Thanks for your responses. Seems I am getting the milk right but we only manage two meals! Maybe an earlier lunch...

Hello all
@midnight1983 @Readytogogogo

Are you giving milk if no food is eaten? I'm trying to get on track with my 7 month old but she's just not taking in much blw or with a spoon and I am unsure of what I give if the meal isn't going well.

Readytogogogo · 10/07/2019 15:20

@keylovesAva She's a pretty good eater so I have the opposite issue in that she'll take the food but probably isn't drinking as much milk as she should!

I always give milk if not interested in food. My baby's appetite really fluctuates so I didn't want to miss out on calories.
