14 month old chews his food and spits it out. Happened to anyone else?

Ever since he started on solids at 6 months, my little one has chewed his food up and then spat the majority of it out.

He's now 14 months old and it's starting to worry me a bit. He's hungry for milk a lot, will eat and swallow yoghurt... But is really bad at eating anything else.

Anyone had experience with this?

Yes. Watched my 12mo spit out mouthfuls of peas tonight. Only things that seem to go down are crackers/breadsticks etc. that dissolve, or yoghurt/hummus/fruit purees. Sorry - not much help, but you're not alone!

DS was like this, he started swallowing food a couple of months later. Keep on keeping on.

Thanks all! I know I shouldn't worry, and he won't starve himself, but it's so hard not to!

Anyone who had experience share when the spitting out stopped?

15-16 months. I just kept giving it to him and one day he started, of his own accord, to swallow it.

Just keep offering him lumpy stuff. Do think he has a problem with texture or is it more an issue with the mechanics
