Um. My DS was still having formula until he self weaned at about 18-20 months.

Cows milk includes cheese, yoghurts and other dairy.

No doubt some other more clued in people will give you better advice though!

Just him a cup with cows milk in it? It's really tht simple. Don't over think it.

Littlefish · 17/01/2013 22:08

Could you give it to him in a sippy cup rather than a bottle?

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 17/01/2013 22:12

By the way, 8oz is far too much in one go. Have a look at
www.healthystart.nhs.uk/food-and-health-tips/milk/

It says at least 300ml a day. But that includes yoghurt, milk in cereal, cheese etc.

He isn't a baby anymore and shouldn't be mainly drinking milk for food.

My DS doesnt use his hands and wont use sip cups beakers or cups we will only drink water from sport bottles and baby bottles, i put milk in his cereal and he does have yogurts and cheese quite often i was just worried incase he didnt want a full bottle of cows milk and i lose what has taken me so long to achive , he is being looked into for having autism so im concerned if the change will put me back to square one

you don't have to put him straight ontocow's milk ifyou don't want.

what she should have said is that it's okay to usecow's milk now if you want to.

but it is advised to put it in a sippy cup rather than a bottle

nickelbabe · 17/01/2013 22:18

if he doesn't use his hands thenasports bottleisfine.

do what you need to do that's best for you both
