Hi

DD is blw, eating well but still messy of course.

We went away for the weekend and although lots of restaurants had high chairs We often found her meals and snacks didn't coincide with moments when a high chair was available which made meals ultra messy.

We're off on a self catering hol in a few weeks and wondered if it anyone has user a travel highchair they would recommend

We had a chicco clip on highchair. Very handy indeed.

I have a booster seat that goes on the dining chairs. It folds up small and inflates when you open it.

We have the "My little seat" which is just fabric. we've only used it once really, (in a pub where they'd made an exception for the event for under 18's so didn't have any equipment normally) but found it worked pretty well on the pub high stool, but I don't think it would really work on most normal chairs as they end up too low relative to the table.

We had a totseat, but blw without a tray scares me!

A Chicco quick seat - it was our main high chair Smile

We used to keep a (sort of) T shaped piece of oilcloth in the bag with the (chico clip on) highchair - secure the the top of the T under the table clips and flap the stem of the T over the front of the chair and tuck in by DCs legs. Stops stuff falling down the gap between chair and table and gives a hygienic surface for DC to eat from.

The Ikea one. It's easy 2 assemble/pull apart, and easy 2 clean, and will probably only cost you £16 in total with the tray (well, the last time I looked), think it's called Antilop x

Rather like this crazy bint lady has done with her <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.nl/imgres?q=clip+on+high+chair&um=1&hl=nl&client=firefox-a&sa=N&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&biw=1280&bih=591&tbm=isch&tbnid=wTyvgIPePeTRhM:&imgrefurl=unclutterer.com/2010/06/30/unitasker-wednesday-pet-high-chair/&docid=y1YpTjD8N8zkKM&imgurl=assets.unclutterer.com/wp-content/uploads/100630-unitasker.jpg&w=263&h=394&ei=MkdHT4mjH4mu8gPXrOjBDg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=283&vpy=203&dur=29&hovh=275&hovw=183&tx=78&ty=227&sig=117994937117526150460&page=4&tbnh=136&tbnw=90&start=79&ndsp=30&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:79" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">dog highchair, but with oilcloth rather than carpet Shock

bump

surroundedbyblondes · 24/02/2012 19:08

Antilop from Ikea is cheap and dismantles easily. We take ours all over the place

soandsosmum · 24/02/2012 19:32

Oo lots of good ideas there (esp dog highchair!)

Thank you!

Another Antilop fan. We take it to relatives' houses and on self-catering holidays. Legs easily clip in and out and tray is v sturdy.

HappyCamel · 24/02/2012 19:37

Ikea Antilop, £10, dismantles easily and is by small and lightweight. It's the only high chair dd has ever had

apachehorse2 · 26/01/2020 16:05

Dismantling high chair table....easy if you face & hold back with left hand, then put right hand under table at right hand side & push clip back, whilst lifting table with forearm. Hey presto it pops off

April45 · 27/01/2020 06:43

Chicco pocket snack.. it's really great, folds down, not bulky, but provides a good structure when up.

I wouldn't bother with the ikea one as a travel chair, you'll prob want to carry it about with you as your LO gets older.
