Do I need to heat puree that has been frozen or can I serve cold direct from fridge?

The Annabel Karmel book is a bit ambiguous on this. My dd happy to have cold food. I know if I want to give it to her hot I have to make it piping hot then allow to cool, but if I want to serve cold and have defrosted it in fridge overnight then do I have to reheat it anyway to kill germs? Thank you.

If it has meat or fish in, then you need to heat; if just fruit or veg can serve cold.

Ah thank you. Just on veg at moment - first tastes still.
