I’m looking at booking a multi centred holiday, 2 children aged 13 & 15. We have 12 days, I’m thinking 8 nights in Disney with it being so large and 4 nights Universal… we’ve never done universal so wanting to check it can be completed in 4 days?

We did 7 nights Disney and 5 universal (I think!) but that was before epic universe opened and the time at Universal did include a day at the space station. I felt like we only scratched the surface at Disney, whereas I think it was long enough at universal. Our kids were slightly younger than yours though.

Ye we’ve done 14 nights at Disney before and felt I could of done another 2 weeks there

How flush are you? If you can afford a Universal Express Path then you may only need 2/3 days at UO - 1 at US and IoA combined, 1 at Epic, and 1 optional at VB.

If your DC are more excitement orientated then I'd split 50/50. If they are more Disney orientated then probably opt for 8/4 in favour of WDW. Most of WDW is pretty tame with some standout exceptions.

For apps, I recommend touringplans.com.

Enjoy!

We have just come back from Orlando and done 4 nights universal and 8 Disney. Ours are younger though (5 and 1) utilise the baby swap and single rider if appropriate. And if staying on property take advantage of the extra hours offered.
‘if doing epic universe you will struggle to fit it all in unless you buy express passes. Hope that helps!

Not sure if you’ve booked by now. We’re doing 10 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge with Disney dining plan and then 4 nights at Universal Portofino Bay hotel with the express pass included for US and IOA.

My sister just got back from Universal and advised us to definitely buy fast passes for Epic Universe as the queues when she went were all 2+ hours long!!

We’ve still got 4 months till we go. With hindsight I wish we’d done 8 nights Disney and 6 nights Universal, as the theming will be more appealing to our DC. We’ve got 14 days tickets for both parks covering the whole holidays period so could travel from AKL and US I suppose. Will share feedback after 😊

My 8 and 11 year old hated Disney and found it very baby-ish and they LOVED Universal! I would do 2 less days at Disney and add 2 at Universal. We did 3 at Universal without an Express pass and felt that was enough but that was just before Epic opened.

You can get an unlimited visit pass for 14 days to any of the Universal sites:

I think it’s too long at Disney for teens personally unless you are having very relaxed days or they are still into slightly younger stuff like meet and greets or wandering Epcot countries. If you are largely thrill rides focused it’s too long. Animal kingdom for example takes a day absolute tops especially if you buy lightning lanes. Hollywood studios maybe worth 2 days.

if volcano bay is open when you go I would give universal longer as that takes a couple of half days as well. My teens are much happier repeat riding universal rides with express, spending some time at the hotel pool in the afternoon and back in the evening. Epic is also v busy and needs a couple of days unless you buy express.
