Villa or non disney/universal hotel

So five people, three primary age children and Two adults.

I'm.torn between getting a villa in kissimeee area, more space ability to cook pasta one night or two and breakfast at home.

Versus hotel room on international drive, right in the centre of the action. Able to walk to restaurants.

Will definitely have a car.

Thoughts?

I’ve done both. Whilst we loved the villa for the private pool and space to cook, we barely did either. Plus it was a faff getting to the parks.

we stayed in int bvd and could walk to a handful of restaurants but in reality we ate in the parks mostly.

Could you find hotel/apart-hotels with decent kitchenette to get the best of both worlds?

don’t forget you’ll have to pay to park at the hotels too!

have a wonderful time I’m so jealous!!

oh I’d also maybe ask this question on The Dibb - people may be able to recommend more for you

Thanks, you've articulated the exact dilemma which I've had in my head.

Very much in the planning stage to work out if its actually feasible, and how much I need to save.

If you didn't want a villa there are lots of apartment type hotels. We've stayed in 2. Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa and the enclave suites on international drive. The hilton own one on international drive too.

We have tried all of the variations mentioned above. We prefer to have space to spread out, pool. tvs in every room and laundry facilities. 1st - 3 bed villa. 2nd - apartment/condo with all facilities as above. 3rd - hotel room, not if I can help it.

Things are so spread out on I drive we still drove to the restaurants. It isn't a walkable place like UK.

I wouldn't stay on I drive again.
