Non competitive multiplayer games on Switch

We recently got a Switch 2 and my DS (age 8) loves it, predictably. Mainly plays Pokémon or Mario Kart. His favourite thing is if we play multiplayer BUT doing this on Mario Kart usually results in a meltdown if he doesn't beat the adults. His younger sister (6) also gets upset as the controls are beyond her, so she gives up mid race and that's another cause for frustration.

Can anyone recommend some good multiplayer games for their age group that are collaborative rather than competitive? I hear great things about Overcooked but also that it's high stress which I'd rather avoid! There does need to be some form of challenge rather than just world building, ideally.

Animal Crossing. My kids loved it and visiting each others islands. Not competitive and very easy listening background music!! Happy memories for us :)

Unravel 2 is wonderful - its a beautifully designed adventure game that can be played as either a single or duo (team). It relies on logic and teamwork to get through the levels and is genuinely enchanting!

I like the look of this one, thank you! Are the controls difficult - could a 6 year old manage or would this be one for DS to play with an adult rather than his sister?

certain actions can take a little getting used to, (I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to spoilt the surprise of the gameplay, it’s just lovely!), but the whole game is based around solving puzzles and practice - so they may need a little help, but I would say it teaches them patience, too!

For about age 8 I would HIGHLY recommend It Takes Two. It's a weird sounding plot but just outstanding to play. I hate video games but I enjoy playing this with my son. Lots of variety and not frantic like mario kart etc which give me a headache
