Hello

Is there anyone on here that could help me value this Pokémon card please. I can see what people try and sell it on eBay for etc but I think the condition of mine will clearly dictate the value and I can’t seem to see where I could add that.

Any help much appreciated. I have thousands of my sons old cards!😂

I’m not an expert, but a Mum of an 11 year old enthusiast!

It’s not in good condition but is a very valuable card! Upwards of £50 I think. Maybe as much as £100 in the right market. Your best bet is finding a reputable Pokemon shop in your area and asking them to value the collection.

Are you the poster who’s sister has a load of Pokémon cards that you think she should give your son?!

HA! No I haven’t seen that thread! My sons are in their 30’s and no longer live at home - I gave a neighbours son a card the other day as he had looked at them - he took that card to a trading fayre and came back with £700! So it got me thinking about the others and I saw Charizard on eBay for a stupid amount - got excited then realised ours is not in good condition!

Any money I get will go to my sons.

I will see if there is a shop than can help. Thank you.

Why are you involved in your very adult son selling his Pokémon card?

so you got £700 for a card! Nice one!

LarryForPrimeMinister · 09/09/2026 15:02

You need it graded, it won't be worth much due to the damage though about £50 max.

daisyydaisyy · 09/09/2026 15:13

Go to a card shop and get it graded!

Are you having a bad day? I’m retired so have time to do this and they don’t! I’m not doing anything they don’t know about! Please don’t comment if you can’t say anything helpful.

Thanks to other replies- I’ve found a shop near me and now I know that I need to ask for them to be graded. I will at least now seem as if I know what I’m doing! 😂

A bad day because I ask that question? Heavens, you must see slights around every corner!

I just went down this rabbit hole with my daughter’s collection. We are going to sell it to help pay for her prom dress. She has a few that are actually worth significant money. Here is what I learned.

There is an app that you can scan the cards. Collectr

its not worth paying to grade a card unless it is in perfect condition. You can sell cards raw. We have one card that I considered grading, but when I inspected it closely I found a very tiny flaw on the edge that will likely knock it down to a 9 instead of a 10. That price difference makes it not worth the process for me.
