Overcooked - can’t find anything as good!

As a family of 3 we love to play overcooked 1&2 (plus all the DIC etc) but have gone through it all several times so looking for something new - we just can’t find anything as good! Closest contenders have been Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Trine, but neither quite hits the mark. Any suggestions?

It's not anything like Overcooked, and it's only 2 player, but have you tried Untitled Goose Game? My kids were obsessed with it (it's very silly!).

i Haven’t heard of that - what age kids would like it (we have an older teen)? Thanks!

Yes untitled goose game is fun, only 2 players though but you could take turns?

Try Human Fall Flat, Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Moving Out - these all have a similar feel to Overcooked. Back Seat Driver looks similar but haven't played this yet.

Gang Beasts, Stick Fight are hilarious in a similar way but it's player vs Player, not collaborative.

Ultimate Chicken Horse is probably the game I enjoy as much as Overcooked.

Tiny Brains is a fun little co-op puzzle. Sunderfolk is one we've enjoyed recently. These are more like Trine.

Oh and Octodad has to be a contender as well.

Thanks so much - will look into these. Collaborative and 3 person are definitely priorities. It’s tricky when you have a teen to find ‘family’ activities you can enjoy together and we’ve all loved Overcooked.

Moving out is great fun, you have to move furniture from a house into a moving van, some bigger items need two people to work together and you only have limited space in the van so you need to stack things carefully. Up to 4 can play and it needs the same verbal planning that overcooked needs. There is two games and some DLC so plenty of content.

Worms is also a good shout, it's competitive so you are playing against each other but you take turns.

If you have a switch then the Mario Party games will also be a lot of fun. Jackbox might be fun too and is available on a few platforms.

"Keep talking and nobody explodes" requires you to work together to defuse a bomb, a person working on the bomb, and a team helping, and each side only has some of the information so you need to talk through what you know and how to proceed.

I'm on PlayStation and play a lot of the Powgi word games, I'm not sure if they are available on other platforms. Only one person holds the controller but everyone can call out ideas/suggestions for the puzzles. My mother loves doing the word games and is always asking me to put one on during visits.

Sorry I just had to come back again because I found that Tools Up is on offer currently on Steam, and that looks like a similar vibe to Overcooked.

Thanks - we haven’t checked out any of these yet as DC doing GCSEs but they finish today, so will definitely get stuck in to some family gaming!

It Takes Two is a great two player co-op, my teen DS and I played it together. They’ve just released a new one (Split Fiction) but we haven’t played that one yet.
