A Roblox alternative for an 8 year old

Hi everyone,
My 8yo says he has grown out of Minecraft and sadly has switched to Roblox, nothing wrong with it but the games he likes involve clicking a button a thousand times in a push up simulator or the sumo game where you start out skinny and gradually grow heavier. I feel he could absolutely do something more challenging at his age or "memorable" if you know what I mean, as the gameplay and quality is extremely poor!

In his words, he wants something where he could be "getting better in wins or stats or strength or speed, but not the skill of the game so not puzzles as you don't get any stats or wins in puzzles".

Any good ideas? Doesn't have to be anything too intellectual, but I feel he is just wasting the time of his life on this

Our 5 year old adores Roblox I don't understand it, he did do Minecraft with his bigger brother's but prefers Roblox

Nintendo switch works really well for my DS. You can get games for around £10. I had to ban Roblox as he was adding friends from school then this caused fall outs aboutgame play at school.

I agree with PP above, we don't allow Roblox.

Mario Karts?

Thanks everyone! Any good games on Nintendo that are about speed or strentgh and scoring points like he wants? He does have a Switch but has only ever played Mario on it as CarCarTruckJeep suggested, which he did enjoy for a while, so possibly something similar?

My son loved Geometry Dash at that age and still loves it at 12.

Other big hits have been Mariokart, Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Celeste.

Watching with interest. DS10 is also gravitating to Roblox (although does still play a bit of Minecraft) and I agree many of the games are such poor quality. I have no idea why it's so popular!

The only other game that's really captured his interest is Wobbly Life.

Thanks all! I think I've heard of Geometry Dash, never heard of Wobbly Life but it looks interesting
