Fortnite/Roblox/Fall Guys

Hello.
My son (10) plays Roblox and Fall Guys. He's telling me that in next few weeks that these are "being ported to Fortnite" and that if he doesn't have Fortnite, then he'll lose all his progress in those games and not be able to play them when this happens.

I've just done a quick Google and to be frank, it all goes over my head. I'm not sure he's trying to pull the wool over our eyes, more that I think he's watched random YouTube stuff which may have confused him.

Does anyone in the know know if this is a thing? We think he's too young for Fortnite so would rather he didn't have it but if it's true, I 'might' allow it to exist if it's the only way to play those games.

He plays on PS4 and Switch if that matters.

THANK YOU.

Actually, I've just been reliably informed ROCKET LEAGUE not Roblox 🙄

I don't even know what this stuff is!

Maybe the question I'm asking is, will son be able to play Fall Guys and Rocket League without having Fortnite in a few weeks?

The studios that make Fall Guys and Rocket League were both acquired by Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, many years ago.

There has been a long standing industry rumor that Epic Games want to fold their other online multiplayer properties into Fortnite, and use it as a hub.

It's not happening any time soon though and they're certainly not shutting down Rocket League/Fall Guys as separate games or wiping anyone's progression.

I've not heard anything about it, and I play Fortnite everyday. Really surprised you think 10 is too young too play!
