Upgrading computer

Hi there,

My daughter (18) is looking at getting her gaming computer upgraded. It's around 4 years old. I went back to the company that built it who quoted £750 to upgrade the current one with the following spec. Just wondering if this seems reasonable for the price. It's a lot more than I expected but don't know much about computers:

New Items:
Ryzen 7 5800X
RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
650W Power Supply
Upgraded Air Cooler

Ps any advice would be much appreciated

Sounds reasonable to me, that graphics card has a retail price of about £400 on its own.

Saying that a new computer might not be much more, not sure what the rest of the spec on this is like compared to your current one.? Because then you could also sell your current one?

Thanks for responding. They thought buying a similar spec new would cost around £300 more. Crikey £400 for the graphics card alone, I had no clue it could be that much but reassuring in terms of it being a reasonable quote

Just got my gamer son to price up and he reckons this is a fair price.
