5 YO playing call of duty

So my 5yo SS is allowed to play call of duty at his mums. We are totally against this but feel like she shouldn’t be letting him either. I am aware what he does at his mums is out of our control, however we’ve been seeing a change in his behaviour and specifically language so wonder if this could be where it’s coming from. My partner has had a conversation with her and told her how inappropriate he feels it is.
Not really looking for advice, just wondering if people would feel the same/would you let your 5 yo play and 18 rates game?

Call of duty is a highly addictive & frustrating game with substantial adult content. As a Gamer, mother of 3 children/youmg adults & a student Social worker. Under no circumstances would I recommend or allow a 5 year to play this game. Therfore, I absolutely share you concerns. If you have absolutely no say in him being able to play this at his mother's. I would advise engaging him in age appropriate chat around how games are made, that they are not real and that they are designed to make people want to play them so he can try to understand some of the feeling he is experiencing around playing the game.

Absolutely not, it's an 18 for a reason. It's not much less realistic than say Saving Private Ryan or whatever other graphic war film you can think of.
That's half the problem; the other half is he's clearly being allowed in voice chat with teens and adults, which is a fucking stupid idea and that should be entirely obvious.
A child playing on an adult's account is also against terms of service, which would get whoever's account it is banned if known by Sony/Microsoft - perhaps use that as an appeal to the account owner? A kid talking in chat can be reported by other players.
