My son want to play Pokemon locally, trading preferably. We are in Suffolk. He is 11 yo. Does anyone know of any meet ups/clubs/groups? Thank you

I know this was a while ago but what is he looking to play? Cards, Pokémon go or another Pokémon game?

BatsInSpring · 14/03/2025 12:15

He actually just wants to chat and trade...

Google "game cafés" in your area.
There's a Geek Retreat in Ipswich if that's near you (they are a franchise).

Thank you. We went to Geek Retreat but they play the game (and seriously!). I've asked my local library if I can set up my own trade and chat club. He starts High School in September and they have a Pokémon club too.

Had a quick google and there’s a place called Shuffle Board Game Cafe, in Bury Saint Edmunds if that’s nearby. They have a Pokémon Casual League on a Sunday, which might be worth checking out. https://shufflecafe.co.uk/events/

Our local waterstones had a Pokémon event fairly recently, for swapping & chatting. Might be worth checking out your local branch @BatsInSpring ?
