What is the worst video game you have ever paid money for?

Minecraft

I was going to say The Evil Within (bit controversial that one as it's generally considered a Very Good game) but actually I'm going to go with the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). Has as much depth as a shallow puddle.

The devil in me. Its one of the dark pictures anthology and they were the kind of games that started me off so I've got every one but I couldn't get more than halfway through it.

To be honest they're not my game as much as they were, I'm currently on playthrough 2 of Skyrim and I love it sooooo much

ClayFighter. Although apparently it's worth a lot of money now due to scarcity! (It's an old game from the 90's).

I got a refund for Skyrim <smug>

The worst I’ve played was Murdered: Soul Suspect. Interesting premise (Salem witch trials) but very disappointing execution; I finished the entire game in 3 hours! I lent it to my brother and we agreed it was the biggest pile of bollocks either of us had ever played

Possibly? It started in a sanatorium and at some point you get chased towards a lift by a mini boss. I adore horror games, this just really didn't click.

I enjoyed Murdered: Soul Suspect! I rather like linear AA story games.

Civilization V - none of the depth of the earlier games, most of the brainwork taken out. Reverted to Civ 4 rapidly.

I should probably give it another go but just felt like a bad comsole port.

Minecraft is brilliant - a totally open sandbox world where you can do anything you want? What's not to like?

Minecraft is amazing and I've happily bought it about four times - had some great fun on there with my kids too (16 and 6!)

Not sure what the worst game is - some we got in a Humble Bundle were a bit rubbish - Potion Explosion and something else like that.

Oh DH got me to play WoW once - SNORE - that is probably my worst game ever. So many identical quests!

I used to play that. I quit a couple of years ago because the content was repetitive and dull, and any new chapters or DLC were terrible.

That and trying to do dungeons with random people was like herding cats.
