Can any gamers help? Which monitor

I’d be really grateful if anyone has advice. For various reasons I need to buy a monitor for my son’s x box series S. I’m aware the S doesn’t support as much as other consoles so am slightly lost as to which would be a good buy.

Looking to spend around £450 ideally.

Any recommendations ( even if what I need to look for) gratefully received.

You are better off getting a TV than a monitor as they work better with consoles. Monitors are more for PC's and you'd spend a lot more for the same quality.

What size are you looking at? Any 4k screen would be great. It's not a fantastic console power wise so a fancy TV with all the bells and whistles would be wasted on it so I'd just get the biggest cheep 4k you can get with your budget.

The console connects to the TV using a HDMI cable and that is the standard connector every TV has these days so there is no real chance of buying the wrong thing.

Something like this would work fine. The reviews say the speakers a bit naff but if he usually plays with a headset that won't matter. If he doesn't, maybe use the rest of the budget to get a sound bar (I love gaming with mine!).
