I actually only learned this existed a few months ago via the Pokemon Go thread (I'm very thankful that someone mentioned it.)

I'm quite enjoying it but know it mightn't be everyone's cup of tea. Anyone else playing?

I'm still learning things like how to more easily get particular nectars etc.

I'm here! I like it but I keep forgetting to play out and about as I'm still a Pokémon Go player tbh. I got a lot of people into it but a lot of them have given up already.

No worries, have added. I'm trying to do the maze thing seriously but I'm not all that good at getting the petals.

Could you explain to me the formula to get a big flower to bloom into a cattelya, for instance? I've read it in a few different places but don't get it. And is that a worthwhile use of cattelya petals?

I honestly haven't a clue tbh. I just wander around planting random flowers and collecting fruits everywhere. I haven't got into it so deeply to try and get specific flowers so it's just pure luck.

I thought mystery mushrooms would be helpful, but they aren't very.

Do you walk a lot? The steps requirement to level up gets so much more hardcore as you go on :(

I’ll add you now same name as in here. I probably go an average of 8k steps a day as I have dogs to walk but yeah each level is excruciatingly slow and the reward is 20 petals 😂

If the majority of petals planted around a big flower are of 1 type, or 1 colour, that's what will bloom.

But that relies on others not messing up your planting strategy, so for special nectars your best bet is to build it up from the weekly challenges, badge days (if there aren't too many players where you are, get plenty of local flowers ready the week before so they only need a few petals on the day) and mushrooms (you can't guarantee what you'll get from a mushroom but some have very limited types on offer so the odds are good).

And always feed special nectar to bud Pikmin so you double the petals you get.
