Please excuse my ignorance about anything game related but I’ll try and make sense. I’m thinking of buying a switch and sports game. A switch is £259 but it’s also being sold with sports preinstalled and 3 month online for same price.
We will not want the online membership It is purely for playing sports (for two young adults hankering after their competitive Wii playing days!).

if I buy the preinstalled version -

  1. Can they use it without the membership or is only for people who are then purchasing a subscription?

  1. Can I still buy a different physical game and play it on it or does it only work with Downloads?

  1. Are the two consoles the exact same thing? (The 259 one and the 259 with game on)

Sorry again. I really have no idea about this sort of thing. Thank you.

  2. Yes, you can still use physical games
  3. Potentially the £259 one without a game is the OLED model, although they're normally more expensive (newer model with a better screen, plays all the same games)

Just make sure you don't get the lite one and you'll be fine! The lite one the controllers don't detach from the console so you won't be able to play the sports games.

I’d agree with Merrow. I bought a Nintendo switch in the Black Friday sales. It came with two physical games and one downloadable game. The 3 month membership is just a code on a bit of paper that you input in the store when you want to redeem. We haven’t bothered with it yet.

I would say I bought via very and got an extra 20% off as a new customer opting for the pay in 3 instalments. I thought it was a good deal comparatively.

@FuckinghellthatsUnbelievable and @Merrow
Thank you both so much. That’s absolutely perfect.
