I have noticed the shiny rate seems to be a bit higher atm. I’ve caught 10 in April so far and I’ve only been out of the house twice. Finally got myself a shiny remoraid yesterday. Now I just need to evolve that (holding out for a slightly better one) and trade anyone? for a shiny Elekid to complete my Johto shiny dex.

Just been strolling through the city centre and got a shiny lapras, 4 lotad, and hatched a 4 salandit - male sadly.

My shiny rate sucks right now. One Totodile and one Pineco and that’s it for the month so far.

The shinies really do seem to be hit or miss with the luck on them. Sometimes I can get loads and loads and then it can be weeks before one.

Also I’m really busy at our local theatre these next few weeks so I’m running out of people to send gifts to when I’m there. If there’s anyone who doesn’t have me (unicorngirlSooz) then my code is 7071 2330 6230

I can’t always send as sometimes I’m stuck in the house nowhere near a stop but when I’m working at the theatre I can send to all my friends every day. 😁

I have been a bit quiet but have been plodding away. I quite like this event so far been good for my shiny rate. A remoraid and a ducklett 2 days ago. Also hatched a shiny galarian corsola and today 2 fledglings.
Also live close enough to meridian line that with 20 mins travel I can hit blacephlon. No shiny of the ultrabeasts yet.

The shinies do seem very hit and miss, I got several in quick succession a few weeks ago, but this event has been pretty rubbish for me (so far).

I find whenever I get a shiny or perfect, I immediately get 2 or 3, then none for ages.

@ISaySteadyOn- it’s just a wee am dram theatre so no pay but still lots of work. I’m wardrobe mistress and our upcoming play is Calendar Girls (we open on Thursday so it’s all the last minute things for me to sort out). For a show about women taking their clothes off there are actually a LOT of changes for them all. It’s taken me hours and hours over the last two days to iron everything. 🙈 We have our own building though unlike some other am dram groups who have to rent out space, so it’s great to head there and just hang out with the ghosts for a few hours. 😁

My code is 113733301621. I made quite a few friends through this group a few years back. I'm definitely playing more casually now and lost the habit for a couple of years.

I've had a couple of hundos and shinies recently which perk my interest up. The Dynamax battles are easy to do solo too. I got a bit fed up when the local community had rifts affecting raiding groups and it became hard to get Legendaries and the game was feeling very monotonous. I've been on Level 44 for a couple of years.

Thanks to everyone who has been adding me. Day off from theatre tonight but dress rehearsal tomorrow then 9 nights in (although I won’t be there all night during the run and there’s no show on Sunday). Still should be able to get a good few gifts out to people when I’m there though. It’s amazing how much XP you can add just from having a few new friends.

Finally a small bit of shiny luck today. After catching over 600 Scatterbugs from all over the world, I just got a shiny for the first time. An Elegant one too.

Nice! I just got a shiny dynamax machop yesterday which is now, of course, evolved to a Machamp.

Woohoo! Just home from my latest round of chemo at the hospital and hatched a shiny elekid from a 7k egg as I walked through the door; they’re finally available in the current event.
So my Johto shiny dex is finally complete.
@SneakyGremlin I can stop trying to figure out if I can make a slight detour to Manchester when I’m visiting Birmingham next month. But thank you for the kind offer of one of your spare shinies ✨💐
