New thread. No routes where I am. We're going to be at Pokémon Go Fest on 6 August. V excited.

I have just been accepting loads of raid invites. It really is so much more fun to raid in a big group.

I didn't manage to go out to raid, today. I did one from the relative dry of a bus shelter on Saturday and catching was difficult because my screen was wet. I ventured out for a short walk to catch the ducklett that, despite the filthy weather, were not spawning at home, this afternoon, and got soaked through. Did a couple of remote raids from the dry of my house, though and some local players joined in with one. Dawn wings was an easy duo, I found. No shiny necrozma but I did get shiny Kartana, Hisuian Sneasel (so cool) and Corsola, among others including a pink ducklett in a very big puddle!

I drove into town to a park next to the university, lots of gyms in a small space. It's where it's all been happening since Ingress days (the first batch of stops and gyms came from that game). There were three of us and we struggled to get into the same lobby, they were filling so quickly that the one of us that can't read a map had missed a slot by the time they'd worked out which gym was the right one. My son had a shiny Necrozma, we didn't see a Kartana raid in the hour and a half we were there each day. Didn't see a Stakathingy either. I'm not sure I have the stamina for a two day event (or the bag space) but I had a great time despite the weather.

I missed most of GoFest! I've been in bed with Covid all weekend. Managed a couple of raids on my home gym and a few remotes, but no shiny ultra beasts, just one Hisuian Sneasel. Bummer.

I think the shiny ultras must be extra rare.

I didn't raid at all. I was out for the day for a gig (Travis) so all the raids at home I couldn't go to and while some people did invite me randomly I didn't have the chance to join any of them. I got to meet the whole band though so that was better than getting Pokémon IMO. 😁

I was busy all day yesterday and barely had chance to play, although I did three remote raids at lunchtime and managed to get into town for the last half hour to do another four - you couldn't move for them between Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square 😀

I managed more on Saturday, but no shiny Necrozma (out of around 25 raids total), and none of the other new shinies either. I did get a shiny Carvanha and a couple of shiny Rockruffs (including a Dusk form one) amongst others which made up for it a bit, but I'm annoyed with myself for not planning better.

I only saw one stakataka raid all day Saturday. I'd got one from the research during the week, at least. I'm one degree to the wrong side of the Greenwich meridian but would have to travel over 100 miles, down to somewhere like Withernsea for one, which isn't likely to happen!

Go raid party app is what you need. The price of a remote pass is far cheaper than 100 miles of travel costs.

after a slow start I was actually very happy with my shiny haul, particularly the corsola. Didn’t do too many ultra raids and didn’t get the special research completed yet as struggled to do the walking. Hopefully get that finished this week.

I got a nice selection of shinies too, Nihilego and Celesteela were both from the research, which felt a bit like a cheat, getting loads of ultra beasts for doing 1 star raids!

Finally evolved Charcadet into Ceruledge. Worth it! So cool.

I realise this thread hasn't been updated for an ages but just wondering if anyone could send me an invite for the discord? I've just started playing again after a veeery long gap only to discover that discord has deleted my account in the interim so I've had to start a new one 😭😭

Baz doesn't have an Entei and also likes the look of a lot of the recent legendaries so we'd love to go in some raids.

Anyone got any Entei raids around?

We should start a discord again. As far as I know there isn't one at the moment, or maybe I was taken off because I was inactive for a while.

Anyone know whether it still exists?

That's a shame if so - it was v handy for raids! But I'd be up for starting another if there's enough interest...

That'd be great. We'll hold fire on making one and see if anyone replies that it's still there. :) In the meantime maybe we could co-ordinate raids on here if need be?

I haven't got discord currently (which makes my children laugh at me for being so outdated), but would be up for making an account to join if there was one going.

Would love to be able to communicate better about raids, I tend to get invited to them when I'm in the middle of something else and 5 minutes warning would make a difference for getting prepared!

If anyone is doing a mega aggron raid after 8 this eve I'd love an invite! I might go and try and find one, in which case let me know if you'd want to be invited. Hoping with a bit of notice we can make it work.

I'm free for a raid or two tonight too if possible please! Finally have some remote passes.

Thanks for joining! I went out to find it, which saves a remote pass for something else but means you end up madly tapping the phone in public, which probably isn't a great look.
