New thread. No routes where I am. We're going to be at Pokémon Go Fest on 6 August. V excited.

Nearly there....

The Poke Post thing seems to be based around trading cards which isn't my thing, and the queues will probably be immense, so not really worth a special trip to London I'd have thought .

But it's close to me so I might scoot by after work and do a couple of raids and capture the vibe..

Top tip if you're visiting London from out of town is that the South Bank (near Royal Festival Hall) is great for raids at the weekend - you can grab a coffee from Pret or some food from the excellent street food market at the back and take your pick of loads of gyms with loads of random players.

@SneakyGremlin one of ds friends moved to Manchester. We are having a flying visit to her for a lucky trade coming up soon on our way to/from Newcastle. I know it’s a big place but looks like it has a thriving community from what she says.

I haven’t noticed any gifts coming from around the angel of the north area but if anyone is in that area we might be able to meet up to trade spare regionals I have such as tauros or tropius

@thirdfiddle I know it's a matter of them being in a raid/trade but I like Terrakions Smile If they have decent attacks, not Earthquake or something lame like that. For beginning accounts then yep Hariyamas.

And lookee, here they come again. And DH just traded me a nice lucky one. Even better :)

Oh! I would but I have to wait for some of my Pokémon to get knocked out of gyms so I can get some remote raid passes.

I am not sure if we are friends (GalarianPony920).

I have mainly been trying to build up my Pokémon and item storage with all the coins I can get, but just realised I have a remote raid pass from some research, so could potentially join one long distance.

Yay!!! They're lovely. Make sure you have a budget so you don't spend too much in the shop on the passes :)

If you look online you might find groups near you for local players so you can add people and do more 5* raids without buying the remote passes.

I don't spend real money, just means it is slow to build everything up!

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of local groups and DS seems to have gone off Pokémon go completely, although he might just be holding out for a phone upgrade at Christmas. 😉 I have a work colleague who plays, but we never seem to be able to meet at a good time to get to raids. Apart from watching out for eggs is there a way to know what will appear where so you can plan a bit further in advance?

Thanks porridgeisbae, not really investing in remotes at the moment, we do have a local group and premium passes are cheaper.
AlmostLegendary Wednesday 6-7pm most gyms have the 5* of the week for raid hour. There are some people near us who meet up in the town centre for it.

Thank you! I was feeling a bit lonely sitting at a cafe with DD1 and her friends just being the chequebook (she's 13 tomorrow) and then you invited me to raids and I felt a bit less lonely. Especially since I got a shiny!

@pottypotamus Is that something to do with the mateo special research? I haven’t been able to encounter him so stuck on the first part. Appears to be because of a known bug. Don’t quit a route or you may encounter it too!

Guess I better start figuring out who of my 400 friends I should cull in case they ever fix the bug…
