Routine Sparkles Pokémon Go

New thread. No routes where I am. We're going to be at Pokémon Go Fest on 6 August. V excited.

Well, guess I will just have to get DH, DD1 and DD2 to do it with me.

Well that's annoying, my DSs got me back into Pokémon Go and then abandoned it!

I've been out with my son this morning, we did two raids with the party power button and completed two challenges. We weren't out for much over half an hour but it worked, no glitches.

I've really turned off from Pokemon in the past few months with the routes and cells and parties and the cost of remote raid passes. It's ruined the fun for me!

I was going to post something similar not long ago @CornishGem1975 .

I like the big/regular events like Go Fest and Community Day but now we have routes and Zygarde cells, showcases, the campfire thing which I don't understand, endless mini events and now parties (which won't affect me to be fair, because I don't know anybody to play with IRL).

It seems like ages since I just went out to walk around catching whatever pokémons were about and battle in some gyms and do the odd raid. I've finished the vivillons now but that was another constant thing to try and keep on top of and I agree that's got a bit much 🤔.

I tried the party feature with DH and DD2. It's kind of fun. It was nice for all of us to have our avatars all on the screen together. And we enjoyed that we could all do tasks together and help each other that way.

What the hell? My landscape is showing autumn with falling leaves etc. I'm in Australia, it's SPRING here!!!!!

Or is it for Halloween?

Must be for Halloween, I can see pumpkins under the distant gyms and pokestops.

I like the new background when catching. It feels warm and friendly in a way.

I think you just do the bits that work for you. If you tried to do every pay to play bit and quest and power up every legendary, it would be a full time job.

A month and my several routes still under review.

Anybody know what is good against Rocket Leader Cliff's Aerodactyl? It keeps knocking out all my Pokémon even those that are super effective against flying.

IDK if it works now but a couple of months ago I had a lot of team leader challenges. My go-to team which was Terrakion, Mewtwo, Terrakion. The Terrakions had Sacred Sword. It seemed to often work.

I think the leaders are a little easier while the event is on. My togekiss hadn't even got a charge move out on Cliff's dratini or or Sierra'a sableye while the first in the line up is normally the one for burning through the shields. I was expecting Sierra to take a few goes as you can't easily select 3 cover all pokemon but she was surprisingly easy. I shan't bother with her again for Sableye, mind.

And I finally completed the shiny jirachi quest.

Well all I can say about the welcome party task is that it was tedious and I won’t be bothering with a party again except maybe when raiding. All 4 parts were mostly completed using the go plus+ while auto spinning stops or catching Pokemon reachable from the sofa or whilst driving. I can’t imagine how even more tedious and annoying it would be if you didn’t have a family member’s account to call on.

Ds happy to have the Jolteon t-shirt, even though he doesn’t actually play any more.
I’m happy not to have to keep scrolling through and cancelling parties until you get a task you actually want. The rewards are just not worth it.

I assume the aim is to try and get players to get family members out playing with them again. So far it seems more likely to encourage multi account players to me.

DD2 and I did a shadow raid together the other day. But we forgot about the party thing.

Funny though. Our family are all Dungeons and Dragons players and we first thought that was the sort of party Niantic meant. Then we figured out which kind of party they were actually talking about.😂

Very excited this morning to see that 2 of the three routes I submitted in early September have been published. I had given up hope.

@ochnanoch Same here. Two of three published this morning. I guess they’re finally pulling their finger out with the upcoming event requiring routes.

I am finding the routes on the map feature useful but it doesn’t show the actual closest routes to me as such. The ‘closest’ it shows are miles away and I have to zoom around to see the actual closest ones. I live rurally do they are very spread out.
