We have had our controllers a while now and bought replacement bits to repair drift twice now

They have gone again

Is it better to:
Buy new controllers after a while
Buy nintendo spare parts
Just replace them again with amazon parts

Nintendo will replace/repair for drift, my husband got it done recently. Perhaps not if you've repaired it yourself though.

Have you tried spraying them with WD40?
It always fixed the drift on mine until they were several years old and then I replaced them

Oh which bit do I spray? That sounds such a stupid question, sorry!

I spray into the base of the thumbstick then waggle it around so it gets underneath, or if a button is playing up I spray the edges of it so again it goes underneath.

Then give it a quick wipe with a tissue or paper towel to get any off the surface.

I've also got a vr headset and it works when those controllers play up too

Thanks much easier than taking them apart!
