DS is 9. Plays Pokemon and FIFA...I've never allowed him to play Roblox/Fortnight or join online gamers. He's ?? ASD and is fairly screen obsessed. It's a never-ending battle of wills...recently I've realised that his behaviour and anxiety is much better if I let him play without being just as stringent WRT when/how long for. eg-screens were banned in the mornings before school right from when my 18yo was 4. Worked just fine for the older kids. But, his school refusal/anxiety have settled since he's been allowed to play in the mornings. Basically, it motivates him to get up & dressed. He's happier and is much more willing to participate in life in general since we relaxed the rules. Anyway-he desperately wants to play Call of the Wild. I'm not a gamer, I do understand it involves hunting & shooting. My DH thinks this is ok, I'm really baulking at the idea. Any thoughts?
