Which gaming PC?

I am looking to buy a gaming PC for my partner but I don't know anything about gaming so need some help...

He doesn't have a PC at the moment as his old one stopped working. He likes to play one specific game, Knight Online, and also watches other gamers streaming on Twitch.

The only tech specifications that I can find for this game seem to be quite a few years old, and so I don't know what equivalent I would need to be looking for now in order to get the best gaming experience?

Any help gratefully appreciated :)

Thanks.

These are the requirements I found for the game, which I think are from at least 6 years ago, maybe more:

System Requirements
MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10
Processor: Pentium 3 600MHz or better
Memory: 512 MB RAM
Graphics: 3D Acceleration
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 2 GB available space

For those game requirements, any current pc would be more than sufficient @SandraDeee. I'm no expert but would expect all PCs now to far exceed the specifications you have stated, even less expensive ones.

The link above is a more recent article about the requirements to run Knight Online (2021), which are still the same as the ones you mention but there's a handy section you can fill in with a PC's specs and it tells you if it will run the game. So you could fill that in with specs of any PC you are considering and find out if it's suitable which, as I said in my last post, I'm pretty sure anything you might be looking at these days would be more than capable.

@Spyral That’s really helpful, and good to know - thanks so much! 😊

What are the games looking to be played on it? With specs you posted very few modern games would run

maliafawn · 10/12/2022 12:12

I mean other than that one, what games does he watch on twitch and seem interested in

My DD bought her gaming PC from Punch Technologies and she chose the components individually using their compatibility builder.

She's since upgraded the graphics card and again they were really helpful with telling her what cards would fit her case and with her PSU.
