Microsoft Flight Simulator??

DS is super keen to get this for his 9th birthday.

I’ve checked and my laptop will support it, but I’m not sure how easy he’s going to find the controls using a keyboard??

I’ve also seen it is compatible with X box, as are the joysticks he likes the look of (thrust master).

Can anyone please help me decide how best to get this up and running for him?

Hi OP we have this for our Xbox series s and ds (8 going on 9) loves it. We ended up buying the joystick, the one we got was around £65 so pricey but it is a much more enjoyable gaming experience with it. Haven't tried playing it on the pc though.

I can't imagine it being easy to play with the keyboard as it is difficult enough to manage with the standard Xbox controller.

joystick
monitor or tv screen

do they just use the joystick on its own then or is there a further control needed?
