Anyone else playing this Disney game? I downloaded to the Xbox from game pass as my brother said the kids might like it but I'm rather hooked myself. Very gentle and quite fun.

Yes, I loved stardew valley and animal crossing so it's right up my street. Haven't unlocked the forgotten lands yet but enjoying all the mining.

DH is away at the moment so I've been playing every night when the kids are in bed 🤣

It's nice to have a game that I could play when they're awake though.

I just started this yesterday on the nintendo switch. I'm finding it a bit overwhelming compared to animal crossing but the graphics are just gorgeous!

Has anybody started cooking yet?
Mickey has asked me to meet at my house when im ready to make crackers and fruit salad but i can't figure out what I'm missing!

@Moon22 it took a while for Mickey to follow me but he did eventually. Have you tried just making them ?

You need wheat for crackers and any fruit for fruit salad.
If you go to the "collection" part of the menu it will list the recipes and what you need. It also tells you where to find ingredients, gems etc.

I'm saving up dreamlight to unlock the forgotten lands. Also in dire need of mushrooms to level up my watering can.

I'm trying to get iron ore for a shipwreck. Ugh.

@welshnerd thank you. I do have the wheat and crackers. I don't yet have the stove though so maybe need to get that too.
My next job is buy blue furniture for merlin! There was nothing blue in shop today- hopefully tomorrow!

I am enjoying it. But it can be a little glitchy with being so new.

I'm looking forward to being well into it when more characters are added.

@Moon22 I struggled with the cooking. I asked Micky to hang out with me then I asked him about the quest then I went to my house. When I got in he was there. He then gives you a cooker. Hope this helps.
I got the game yesterday on Switch. I guess as it is early access that is the reason for the occasional glitches. I do like it though.

BTW my daughter pointed out that there are extra moonlight things to collect. If you tab right in the menu for the map etc. you can get Incredibles themed things.

@Magissa yes I'm very confused as I seem to have everything needed for the quest but Mickey not yet showing up. Obviously something I need to do thats not done yet! I've opened the restaurant and found Remy a house too- so can cook there. Oh well, plenty to keep me busy till I figure it out!

Have you tried 'tracking' the quest? You need to go to quests in the menu and press A so the icon goes gold next to the writing. I hadn't done that so ended up starting again so I could do that bit and then Mickey came to my house. X

Oh yes. The tracking is useful. I'm still really enjoying it.

I'm surprised how glitchy this game is.
I frequently get logged off due to connection error, chests won't open due to low connection and my sound and music sometimes goes funny. I know it's still early release but it was a very expensive game- I got the deluxe version, so more expensive than any other game on switch I've seen!

It is glitchy so I'm glad to play on Xbox. I've almost finished the quests currently available so it'll be interesting to see how often they update.

I've only had a couple of glitches on Xbox and as it was free in game pass I'm not worried, must be a pain if you've paid good money though!

Else got stuck in a wall last night and I had to restart 😂.

I looked on line and two updates are due later in autumn. Hopefully they'll include patches and fixes as well as the new characters.

Has anyone found the game getting more and more glitchy? It keeps crashing on me. Apparently the next update on 17 Oct is meant to fix it

I like the game... but I'm so, so far from getting my valley anywhere near nice looking!!! I don't know if I'll ever get there! By the time I do a bit of harvesting/planting, then go fishing, remove the night thorns and look in the shop- I'm ready to put the game down. Some amazing ones on YouTube! I don't find I'm inclined to play it for long periods like I would have with animal crossing. I also feel like I'm cheating on animal crossing!!!
Currently struggling to find emeralds and shrimp, but I'm in no hurry, I just do a bit at a time and complete the quests whenever I can.
As for the glitches, I hope they improve them soon. I paid £58 for the deluxe version and the game frequently freezes or just shuts down!!!

I've done all the quests so my focus now is making fancy furniture and hoarding dry wood for my elegant gazebo.

I think I underestimated the world building capabilities but now I've had a play around I'll get on an orchard and putting characters in special areas. Everyone is currently hunched up in the peaceful meadow.

I just have the last Remy mission to finish then I'll have a look at rearranging and building. I hadn't really thought about that aspect yet. Other than making sure Mickey and Minnie are neighbours that is!

Does anyone else's game currently have, what I presume is a glitch, where it won't let you give things to characters? So, you approach a squirrel and have the option to gift, but when you click A, it doesn't give it? Or you have a meal for someone in the restaurant, and have the option, 'I've got your order,' but then won't let you give it?
It's very annoying.. absolutely no idea how to fix it.. anyone any idea?
