Setting up gaming pc

Help!! I’m trying to set up a new gaming pc ready for tomorrow but it won’t connect to the Wi-Fi. Some sort of modem error and ideas?

Think you're going to need to provide a bit more info that that I'm afraid.

Also 'modem error'? Modems went obsolete about 10 years ago so really not sure what you could mean at all, sorry.

It says: can’t connect to the broadband connection - the modem or other connecting device has reported an error. Think I also got error 361 at some point. Probably me being dense, I’m not very technical!

For now could you use an Ethernet cable from an Ethernet port in the house to the PC?

Not sure I’ve got an Ethernet cable but I’ll have a look

I'm not sure what you could possibly imply at all because modems were outdated approximately ten years ago.
