We so far have not got any exposure to this franchise, except being bombarded by our DS based on what his friends have been talking about in the past year.
We signed him up for the school computer club which was supposed to use Minecraft Education as the teaching material. But for some technical issue, it didn't work out.
We are about to get Minecraft game for him as his Christmas present. I'm just wondering, since DS has been doing Scratch coding for a while and is quite good at it, if the Minecraft Education Edition is close to learning coding or some sort, it might be two birds one stone to get the Education Edition. But I looked at their website, the idea isn't very clear what it is about. I can't even tell the difference between the normal Minecraft game and this Education Edition. (Completely clueless).
Can someone help explain this a bit if you have the exposure to both?
