Holy mother of...

I have lost so many hours to ACNH, and have technically "completed" it as in...seen the credits.

I'm now enjoying completely trashing my island while rebuilding/modifying it all to give it some level of organisation - I would have definitely placed stuff differently had I ever played an animal crossing game before/had an idea of what was to come!

Can anyone advise if I'm right in thinking the fruits are: oranges/pears/peaches/cherries and apples?

And with produce: tomatoes/potatoes/pumpkins (orange and white) and wheat?
Are there any others?

@Missync over 100... which may not seem too bad, but I wish they didn't have that function 😩😩
(Although cost per time spent is pretty good in terms of returns!)

I've got over 400hrs and still don't have green pumpkins! But you don't know what colour you'll get when you buy seeds from Leif.

Oooh intriguing! I had been assuming Leif sold the pumpkin seeds as pictured! I'll have to take a punt and go get some from them!

From that list I'm only missing sugar cane and green pumpkins which isn't too bad at all!

Hi everyone, long time no speak!
I have a 10 day hospital stay coming up and was wondering if you have any other game recommendations for the switch?

I thought I'd start here before making a whole new thread because we probably have the same taste in games!

I currently only have ACNH, the expansion pack and mario!

I'd stick with AC and do a whole island revamp! There's some great ideas on Pinterest especially with all the new furniture/vines/diys etc from the expansion. I'd love to do a themed one (the castle/industrial/Street ideas are amazing!)

Terraforming and shifting takes forever so it should fill up a fair wack of time!

There´s always Stardew Valley, but I warn you it is super addictive.

And my daughter lets be honest, I am playing Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it's a fairly typical collect and battle Pokemon game, but looks very nice.

I will continue with AC! I love it. I just feel like now I've totally paid my mortgage off I feel a bit aimless!

I've heard a few recommendations for stardew valley so I'll give that a whirl! Thanks

Not been on in ages but finally downloaded happy homes and it's given me inspiration to crack on with my island.
Got a few bits already done from before which I think I'll leave... Maybe. But got ideas for the rest.

How's everyone getting on?

I just started putting a road down. Built a wee bus station :) (out of interest, anyone know how to put custom designs on those single pannel plank things? Think I may make a bus).

My village is a wee bit farmcore so I'm not sure if I can make it into more of into more of a towny town but I'm working on it :)

You just need customization kits and your crafting table. Once you've saved the design you want you can customize the panels on there.

I'm not sure what my theme is going to be. Seems to be going in the same direction as my last island but I want something different 🙄

Yeah its not easy to plan it, usually just ends up going a certain way lol.

For me I'm reluctant to move the rivers as I can never seem to put rivers in right. But I feel I kinda need to take them away mostly for roadsto flow :/

I'd love a city island but I don't see it happening lol.

When I restarted months ago, I wanted a city theme but I love my entrance and it wouldn't fit.
My entrance is raised, kind of overlooking resident services which I like. But struggling to fit things around it. That's why I gave up before and didn't pick my switch up for months.
Can't decide whether to completely flatten it and start over

Some help for the ignorant please. My 9 year old has been playing animal crossing since Jan. As she's only 9 she doesn't play very often as we restrict time. She recently played on a friends who had the expansion pack and she loved the jobs. So we downloaded the expansion pack from the e shop with her pocket money. However now she says there is no difference in game play. We think maybe she hasn't played enough to "release" it, but maybe we've had a tech fail. Can anyone please advise?

She needs to go to the airport and select the 'Go to work' option to play the expansion.

Thank you, we tried going to the airport but there wasn't an option. I've done some digging and I'm wondering if she needs to build more on her island. She has her house and has done a DIY course but maybe the rec center???? I'm so lost as I'm not into gaming, and she's frustrated as it's 7 weeks of pocket money. Any other ideas please?

I would say that she hasn't unlocked enough of the original game then. Has she even got the island to three stars with KK visiting? When you can access HH, you get a phone call from Tom Nook saying that you can access using the airport.
