I've only just started playing, so don't have much, and have only 1 friend to visit .

Do you all visit each other's islands or stick to people you know in real life?

I'm using all my Nook Miles on flights to other islands but haven't found them to be much different to mine so far.

Any helpful tips most welcome!

Those of you who have started again, do you regret it?

I'm returning to the game after being off it for a while and I don't feel any connection to my island so want to start again. But I'm concerned I'll regret losing all my stuff.

I couldn't face starting again and losing all my DIY / catalogue

You could move your villagers houses to the beach and then clear your island and redo all your terraforming

Hi all! So glad I've found this thread, I bought myself a switch and animal crossing for Christmas and even though still a beginner only just got my shop built (bloody iron took forever!) I'm loving it.

I have just started for the third time. I don't regret it. I first got the game in January 21 so only been playing for a year. My favourite part is the beginning though. A new fresh island is like decluttering. I'm definitely going for minimalism this time. One big room house. Fewer trees. Tidier flowers that don't spread everywhere!
It feels good!

Yes me too, I time travelled to spring I got bored of snow

I bit the bullet, started again and I'm glad I did! It's very frustrating not having the things I did before but I feel so much more inspired and creative than I could have been on my old island. Now I just need to find ways to collect all the different fruits again!
