Is anyone playing this evening?

What do people do with art/statue duplicates? I have been buying them when they are real, in case anyone needs any/has any dupes to trade?

Some people trade them on nookazon, some use them to decorate their island

How do you know if they're real?

I got 5 stars on my island last night! Woohoo! I only have pears, oranges, bamboo and coconuts, but would love to visit some islands with other trees/fruit. Usually play in the evenings :)

Welcome to come to my island and get and fruits and flowers you want. Or i can drop off at yours? My island is a mess but LOADS of trees/fruits/flowers

Usually that the villagers are getting lost because I have too many trees (I don't) or that it would be nice if I decorated with outside furniture (I did loads but nothing changed) or demanding I concrete over my natural and wildlife friendly nature reserve (no no no!!!) . I am hoping doodle did the bare minimum so i don't have to total decimate my island lol

@Pixiedust1234 oh no! I had the tree issue - had to chop a LOAD down. And also the outdoor decs. I had to really put load out to get her to stop going on about that. Used street lamps and stuff like that in the end. Unfortunately- from what ive read you just have to give her what she wants. I did it in the end, purely because i'd achieved all the other bits i wanted to - so i just had to compromise on things like how many trees are too many...

I have just checked with isabelle again. Still 3 star, still too many trees, still not enough own made decorations. She stinks and I'm not going to be bullied anymore. If she had rated me 4star after the work I have been putting in then i might have continued (and I did a lot). I'm going nc with her now lol

It took me a long time to cave. I got it on the day it was released and have played every day since. Only went for 5 star at xmas (is that nearly 2 years in?) because i wanted loads of trees and flowers and a more natural island than the 5 stars i'd seen online.
Tbh, i just wanted the lily of the valley flower that you get at 5 star.

Turnips are 413 if anyone wants to visit to sell

Hi I bought and set up the game for my 4 year old at Christmas and have been hooked since. My 4 yo not so much. I play every day and achieved 5 star this week!! I still need cherry trees and apples and oranges though if anyone has these I would love to get some please 🙏. Never played via online and have just bought online membership and the expansion pack, Happy Home Paradise. If anyone has any tips would be much appreciated. I don't know anyone else who plays and came across this thread while searching for ways to progress. Happy to have found other like minded islanders 🙂

Hi, I have cherries and oranges to spare, and my apple trees should be ready in a couple of days if you'd like some? I need more veg as only have toms, carrots and pumpkins.

@Pixiedust1234 basically I put a fence around every building and house. You’ve also got to have at least 10 villagers (we have 13), plus no mess. So no lumps of wood if you’ve chopped some trees.
also try decorate the island with stuff you’ve made. I also fenced in my flowers by type. So all yellow roses together, all red tulips together etc.
I also put a tree beside every resident’s house and made a load of paths joining all the buildings.

Would anyone like to visit? I have stuff to give away if anyone needs anything!

Just checking in on this thread… I bought myself a switch yesterday, and have been playing animal crossing ever since! Half of what you’re commenting about doesn’t make sense yet, but looking forward to finding out about it!

I'm saying hello too... Bought ACNH after my daughter begged me to, and unsurprisingly am obsessed while she 'doesn't really get it' 😂 Only been playing a couple of days, but am loving it so far!!

@Moon22 are you still up for visitors?? I'm brands new at this and not surely how visits work but would love to see someone else's island?

Ah scratch that @Moon22 , just realised I need to be an online member! I'm not, currently.

Is it something you really need to do to play the game fully??

Im online if anyone wants any fruits/flowers etc that they have not yet been able to collect :)
