What game would you recommend for my daughter?

Hi everyone! I have a 7 year old girl her dad likes games and shes been watching him play a lot but I don't know much about games. Her dad is going to buy her animal crossing on the nintendo switcher. I want to get her a game too but I want it to be a surprise. could anyone recommend me a game to buy? :)

The switch has loads of great mini games that are very intuitive and I'm sure she'd like to play with you they are very short standalone games, 1-2 Switch and Carnival are two of our favourites.

She might like Mario Kart or Minecraft, both of which she and her dad can play together. If she likes craft-type things, the Labo stuff might be fun to do with you or her dad. You can make a piano, fishing rod, etc out of cardboard pieces that you can then control with the Switch.

All the kids I know play minecraft. My son has just started but doesn’t seem to really get it.

My 7 year old really likes the old school games ( you can download old Mario games) and Mario creative where you can make your own levels

My DD uses my Switch and she enjoys playing MarioKart and Shaun the Sheep

The lego games are also good.

My son also likes Zelda (particularly the Hyrule Warriors one), but it is a bit less kiddy IYKWIM.

It depends what she is into, mario odyssey is a good one, the main Zelda one (can't remember the name) or any of the Lego ones if she is into a particular theme, Lego city is fun whatever. Minecraft as others have said, is very popular. Mario kart is excellent if she is likely to enjoy short races to another big adventure. Stardew valley is a bit like animal crossing, if that is the type of game she likes.
For something lower key, there is game called donut county, where you are a hole that has to swallow everything, which is very satisfying.
