Pick up all the weeds, you can sell them and store some. Pick all your native (apples) fruit and sell, they grow back within 2 days. Plant the ones I've dropped, they'll fruit in 5 days and sell for more than native. Or plant more. Chop down some trees, you'll need wood to make things anyway. If you've got a net, catch bugs on the tree trunks, some are worth lots of bells. Only shake trees face on with a net in hand as then you'll catch wasps and they're worth 2.5k Bells each. Sell the wasps nests or make medicine to counter stings!
Do shake your trees often as items will be in trees (2 a day I think) but don't forget the net first!
