It’s absolutely fine IMO - it’s a very nice creative game

www.net-aware.org.uk/networks/minecraft/

It's got a PEGI rating of 7 and the above site gives it an average safety rating (presumably bearing in mind that it's 7+).

I think it's probably one of the more wholesome ones to be getting into!

It's absolutely fine for a 12 year old. There is online play so obviously have the online safety chats - what info never to share, what she needs to tell you about straight away etc.

It's a fun creative game, great for stress relief :-)

Thank you! ... she will be pleased! ... just checking, you've not received any bribes for these comments?😜

Ooo just the thread I was looking for!

My soon to be 11 year old wants to start playing minecraft on the PC. He currently plays it on the iPad. Is there a big difference? Can I restrict the settings so he’s unable to chat to people online?

neroforte · 06/06/2021 18:45

hi, i still play minecraft and i'm 16! i've been playing it since i was about 8, it is probably one of the best games she could be playing. i would definitely let her get it, she could be doing what i was at age 12 instead! BlushGrin

Thank you - I'm thinking @Nchang you could get a job telling parents what not to allow 😆
