I added a few of you from this thread a while ago. Thank you for all the lovely gifts.

I will be using lucky eggs during the forthcoming Community Day weekend and hope to level up with as many trainers as possible while they are running.

I'm in the CET timezone, but will use an egg at 14:00 UTC on both days to coincide with the beginning of Community Day in the UK.

I am excited for this community day and so is DS. We missed Roggenrola so are hoping to get enough for a gigalith.

Can anyone tell me about the Pokémon go kids club thing? Is that just the same but for kids?

@ISaySteadyOn I originally got that for my son but we had to change it.

You cant see who is online so cant invite random people
You cant get gifts from certain places
and the thing that probably pissed me off the most about it, is you if you want to do in person things, the adult needs a ticket as well as the child, so if you dont play, the adult will still need an account to be able to buy the child a ticket.

In the end we had to get him a new account as an adult. So started again, I am glad we didnt get too far in before we figured it all out.

So DS and I are fine just having the one between us then? Thanks.

I only got him his own account, because I had to upgrade my phone, so rather than get rid of the phone, I gave it to him, but if you dont have two phones, its not worth the bother (in my opinion) of having two accounts.

The scarf wearing spheals are so cute! Also, is rare candy no longer a thing? Or do I have too many?

Probably between 4-6. Post school run pre dinner, you see. However, holidays are coming up which may be more time. And I will definitely be around this Saturday and Sunday between 2-5! 😉

I’m not usually home from work til 7. Am off tomorrow though. And finish at 3 on Saturday. Will see what I can find to raid.

I'm GalarianPony920. For levelling, as I understand it, I think you get more XP for it if you put a lucky egg on. But more experienced players can probably tell you more than me.

No worries - it took me a while to get the hang of it too.

When you view a friend's profile, in the top left corner there are 4 little hearts in circles. If you tap on that and then tap on the circle which is only partly full, it will tell you how close you are to leveling up with that person, e.g. "Play together for 3 more days to become Great Friends". That number will go down each day that either of you opens a gift. When it gets to 1, the next time either of you opens a gift, you both get a whole load of XP. And people try to make the most of that by leveling up with lots of people all at the same time (usually on community day) and sticking a lucky egg on first so that they get double XP.

So basically I'm asking if the people on this list are ok with me doing that at 2pm on Saturday - i.e. are planning to put an egg on themselves, or not planning to but happy for friends to level up without one. And anyone who does want to needs to either hold off on opening gifts until 2pm Saturday if the hearts say only 1 day away, or if 2 days away then open one today or tomorrow, etc. Hope that makes sense but happy to try and explain further if not!

Glad it helped, I knew about the egg thing ages before I knew that hearts feature existed - I could never figure out how others knew when we were close to leveling up!
