At the beginning I was confused by what was meant by a wrapped fossil, not knowing about the wrapping paper then, and thought it meant one that was unassessed (so still wrapped up in its dirt? I dunno) and gave one to one of my residents and she said "oh, I don't really know much about assessing fossils"

The ACNH.Guide app tells you the favourite colours and styles for each villager and lists their favourite clothing items.

I’ve never been given a photo! Clearly non of my presents have been good enough! I usually give them stupid hats and clothes just so I can see them walking around looking ridiculous! The pear and cherry hats have gone down a storm!

@louloulemons I give mine a wrapped assessed fossil every day until they concede and hand over their photo. Then I mostly ignore them unless I'm carrying something I want rid of.

Oh wow @EntropyBanana maybe I should try again, I was wrapping but am inconsistent with gifts.

How long does it take you to get photos do you reckon?

@Nomaj it varies , it can take weeks or it can be quicker than that.

You can hang the photos on the wall in your house. I have mine up in my study. You're welcome to come and visit to see what I mean if you like. You can be the first person to try out my new pipe arrangement too

Do they prefer fossils to other presents then? Does wrapping really make a difference?

Which is the right app? When I went onto google play there were lots 😭. I'd like to know what my villagers like! And see how many diys I have.

I am failing at flower breeding. Ive read 2 completely different guides for blue roses...

And I've got lots of orange ones nect to each other but they aren't breeding yet.

I have got a gold rose though!!

If you have more than 2 pipes is it conpletely random where they go? They've confused me so I've taken them out!

The advantage of giving them fossils is that they can't display them or wear them. I was giving villagers the stuff I didn't like but then they wear all the ugly outfits!

@DonGray They do seem to gravitate to the horrendous items

I gave Chief a fabulous tail coat but then I stupidly gave him some other clothing I wanted rid of and now he wears that instead of the tail coat, which I later found in recycling :(

@BugsAndBeesAndBirdsAndButterfl I eventually got a blue rose from hybrid reds (which came from C oranges), it took absolutely ages though!!

No problem @BugsAndBeesAndBirdsAndButterfl. I'm trying to grow purple roses, tulips and pansies just now and it's taking aaaages. I have one purple rose and one purple tulip so I'm hoping if I can grow another one of each they might start breeding too. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I've found my blue roses breed really well so once you have a couple you should be set!
