What shall I make my basement into, I’m torn between a room full of plants, a music room or a bar!

My friend made hers into a creepy shrine to her favourite resident that left. So that's an idea

Yes!!!!! I have one in particular who always does that!!

And! I made them all lovely grass coats and they wear them all the time but every time one of them leaves, it shows up in lost property the next day! So rude!!!

Love the villager chat. Sprocket was annoying, all he talked about was the gym.

I have Alice who I liked at first but she is getting increasingly irritating and moping around a lot.

Do you guys gift your villagers presents? What works for you?

I was giving assessed fossils but they don’t seem to like those, one called them ‘old dead things’ so I started just selling them.

All they give me are things like wrestling outfits or once a pair of full body tights!? Wtf?!

The one that goes to the gym I gave weights to and another only had a sleeping bag in their house so I gave a bed.

We have best friend status now.

I give wrapped assessed fossils (maybe wrapping them up makes a difference?) and they all really really like them, until we're best friends then I just give whatever junk I find. When someone new moves in I give them some clothes first so they have something else to wear, and a bed if they don't have one (when I gave a bed to Ankha she gave me her picture)

Wrapping absolutely does make a difference. Wrapped fossils have got me photos from everyone so far.
