They pop up occasionally in your Nook's Cranny - but do you know about cataloguing them?
Basically with most "standard" not crafted items (and not Nook Miles either) - once you've had an item of that type in your inventory (so pick it up in leaf form and drop it) you can order more in that variation from the Nook Stop. Means you can visit other islands and catalog their stuff (if they put it into leaf form before you get there) and then order it at will. It's how people get things like the other colours of sofas, diner furniture and also things like the traffic cone.
I can do things like the full set of different simple panels for people to order if needed once I sort out my second switch island cos it's a mess at the moment.
