I’m going to make a mario-ish race track, so far I’ve laid the custom track and ordered some coins, thinking grass and bush standees. Are traffic cones a thing? Any ideas? You are all so much more creative than me

DD8 made a ‘finishing line’ using black and white chequered squares from the custom design app for the floor and a ‘river’ again from from the app you had to cross using two pipes which impressed me.

Though I will say our island is a metaphor for our (previous) home schooling life, the creative tension between a wilful 8 yr old and the failed attempts at order and structure from an adult . Basically it’s all over the place.

I spent yesterday building an orchard of all my non native fruit (I’m still in the early days so need the fruit money!)

It looks lovely though. I even put a fence around it.

I have Flick visiting today and shooting stars later apparently so if anyone wants to spend today collecting bugs to sell on my island tonight I can open my gates later. It will be about 8pm or thereabouts

@FelicityBeedle I got a white traffic cone the other day; so should be available in my catalogue; want me to get you some. I can't remember for sure, but it's probably customizable.

What are Pisces fragments for? I don’t have any but unsure if I need some!

They are parts of a recipe that Celeste gives you. When you wish on shooting stars you get star fragments and also zodiac fragments left on the beach the following morning. Pisces fragments make up part of a Pisces lamp. Each zodiac makes something different.

@FelicityBeedle traffic cones are definitely a 'thing'. My DS went through a stage of randomly leaving them everywhere on his island. (And he wonders why I got my own switch?)

Oh wow! My island definitely doesn't look very five star ATM. I'm currently moving all the villagers houses after deciding I wanted to build a planned town. All I feel like I'm doing ATM is building paths and moving flowers around.

I put up a lot of streetlamps the other day, I wonder if that's how I got it!

I want to move my villagers houses too to make a planned town with fenced gardens and whatnot but I just don't know where to start, its overwhelming. Mazes and races are a lot easier but they don't get you to 5*s :(

@Natsku I must admit, it's been a PIA. I'm only half way through physically moving the houses, but I have drawn out 'plots' for then all. I've done it all on different levels as well which I'm kind of regretting now because I have to pay for all of of inclines. Two of my villagers are going to end up with small gardens because I'm too tight fisted to move their houses a tiny distance.

It also means I don't have the room on my island for all my other ideas but I've come up with the idea of creating a second account to get another house and using it as a cafe/library/gym etc. But that's my next project.

I'm going to do another house too, my friend has made a hotel with hers and it looks really good - lobby, theme bedrooms, spa, restaurant, and cinema room. Not sure what I'll do with mine.

Moving villagers houses is a big, expensive, pain in the bum.
I love the idea of another house. There are so many possibilities!
