I got this for Christmas and I’m in love. Is there a thread/community etc I could join?

I’m usually an AIBU inhabitant so this is a bit new...

It’s been an eventful week for me my daughter, she got her nooks cranny building, and residents services is being upgraded to a proper building tomorrow. Hoping we can buy turnips tomorrow too, will be our first time buying. Hoping the price is low so she can turn a nice profit. Really fighting the urge to buy myself a switch just for my own damn island 😩

I got ACNH last summer and it has got me through the lockdowns!

Just a tip re the money trees. The maximum you can get back is 30,000 by planting 10,000 bells. However if when Isabelle gives her update she says she is 'feeling lucky' then plant 99,000 bells in the money tree hole and you will get back 297,000 bells (3 x 99,000). This is only when she talks about her feeling lucky though.

You can move money trees once planted - so you can put them together (I once chopped one down by mistake!) in a specific place.

Once they have grown their bells they won't grow bells again so get rid. Need space for four trees is you want to keep a rolling money tree area.

Some help please, I have a very dejected 7 year old.
We got a switch for Christmas, she loves all things animal related so thought she would enjoy ACNH.
Neither of us has a clue what to do, how to get bells or a slingshot.
I've said she needs to pick up all she can find.
She plays most days but is now getting quite upset with it as she wants a house! Noting is really progressing.
I think we started it all wrong, we've tried watching tutorials but they don't make much sense for novice gamers like ourselves.
So, some help please!
Basic easy steps to progress, easy tips etc
How do we get Bells?

I don't think you have started wrong so you can sort this!

My advice would be...

Fish and catch bugs, sell them to make bells. Do this a lot!

Ask Nook for advice about what to do. He will move you through the game with his hints. What is he saying for you to do right now?

I think I might be able to send you one if we became friends? But completely understand you probably don't want to do that with some random from the internet! (I am a very nice, middle aged woman but I would say that!)

I think one will appear in the shop to buy at some stage.

Also was thinking selling non native fruit is good but you also probably don't have that yet either?
