DD is 7 and wants a switch for Xmas. She says she want it to play everywhere so I think it's the portability she wants (and to keep it away from her sister) I don't really want to guy her one for a few reasons. 1 we already have a PS4 and oh is lusting after a ps5, 2 they aren't cheap and 3 I still think she's at the young end for it. She loves os games but mainly Lego and little big planet...she's not in to big games yet and I also worry slightly about it getting lost and damaged. I saw the switch lite but I wondered if there are any others out there I could look at. My other thought was that my newphew still plays on his 3Ds. I was thinking I could get her a second hand one and lots of Pokémon games...she loves Pokémon but not sure if that would be super uncool! All suggestions welcome.

I don't know how much your willing to spend but Nintendo switch lite (or something) aren't a silly amount, same as the switch except you can't put it on the telly - I'm 25 and I love mine especially animal crossing - maybe you could get her that as her main present which is still up to date then and they have a few colour options

I'd still recommend it but I wouldn't say a 3DS is uncool especially at 7
