How to manually save with nintendo switch?

DS is getting very frustrated at having to restart games from the beginning. How can we save? (Its a shared console so games are changed regularly).

In particular its Pokemon Lets Go thats annoying him.

The online Nintendo support only talks about online saving and we're not playing online.

I think it is the wee minus button on the left, then "A". If that doesnt work for you I will ask my DD later.

DD tells me for Lets Go Pikachu or Eevee.... Press x, then you have options. Select "save", then press "A".

She says all games have different ways to save, so look them up for the game, not the switch. She is happy to help with any others she knows.

Thanks we ll try that next time. Its currently off and DS has had a cry but we ll try again...
