Ooh look! A shiny new thread! Hello everybody.

My friends list isn't working so probably can't receive the invite

Am I missing some challenges?

So I had one block this morning.....catch 20 fire, 20 grass, 20 water, couple of raids, new friend, maybe something else.

Done that and now nothing?

Tomorrow we'll get more challenges.

I would love to fight a Kyogre! I can get my son onboard too.

@bellabelly so happy you caught the Kyogre! That was a really tough battle it looked like everyone had to come back with a second team. I was really worried I would have invited people to a losing battle but we made it in the end. I realise that the invites run out really quick and with my friend list acting up I just clicked whatever online friends I saw first! Luckily most joined! It has happened to us quite a lot that we apparently clicked too late on the invite.
The best part, though, was that we got a shiny Kyogre from that raid - in the first throw! My 6 year old with whom I share the profile is beyond excited 😊. That was one of 4 shinies we got today - my other son on Pokeboys8000 only got 2 and we played most of the day. Also not impressed with the massive friendship list glitch which prevented us from sending and opening gifts within the 1 hour window!

I would love a shiny kyogre! raid shinies are supposed to be guaranteed catches so you could even use a pineapple.
I’ve had lots of raid invites which just haven’t worked today, actually the whole thing keeps freezing and no shinies (sob, sob)

@Katastrofe, a shiny Kyogre?! Wow, that is fab. I only caught two shinies all day, a Seedot and an Unown. Someone on my local group got about 16! But I am very happy, I had never even seen an Unown before today.

@Corneliusmurphy I didn't know that about raid shinies being guaranteed catches. That's handy, I am always so nervous catching the raid bosses in case they break free.

As he had Unown "G O " today, I'm hoping that tomorrow will be "F E S T"

Hi everyone, that was a good day, thanks for those that added me to raids and those that joined.
I got a lovely shiny Tangela and a shiny Unown. So I'm happy.

Looking forward for tomorrow sadly we have friends coming for lunch, hoping the leave early

The friends list vanishing scared me until I seen it was everyone's list down.

Well done everyone! My DS was so disappointed that he couldn't catch kyogyre after the battle... he managed to hold it together until we walked away from the other raiders, then he burst into tears

Hopefully we'll get another chance at it tomorrow.

Hi, I don't really post on here an awful lot, but I think I am friends with some of you (I'm Petal14212). Had great fun today, did loads of raids (no shinys from them though) and caught 6 shinys from the wild, although hoped for more, especially as I caught all 6 in the first 5 hours and none in the second half. But looking on Facebook groups, 6 seems the average really.
However I am massively concerned about tomorrow- I cannot begin to imagine how many pokeballs I have gone through today. I know I started off with about 500/600 and I'm now left with about 30! And it's not letting me open any more gifts now! I really hope there are some good gifts with 100s of balls in because I can't be the only one with an empty bag right now??
I think the ddog and I will be going for a long walk at 8am tomorrow morning in preparation, but is anyone else concerned and in the same position?

@JingleCatJingle are we friends? (I'm NoobTree). I'm happy to invite you to some legendary raids. My town has a pretty active raid Facebook group - today was the first day I joined in their chat and ran all over town joining their raids. But there are enough people in the group to pretty much guarantee the boss is defeated. I just have a problem catching them after the battle.

@ignatiusjreilly your poor ds, it's so frustrating when the big boss escapes.

@AHippoNamedBooBooButt I've had to convince my DH to chauffeur me around the ring round so I can frantically spin stops and stock up on balls. I'm still tragically low on revives and potions somehow...

I got rid of loads of potions to make space for balls but now I've seen in the shop there's a new team rocket box, I'm wondering if tomorrow is featuring them. I hope not, I hate team rocket stops lol.

Someone on a facebook thread pointed out to me that even with using golden razz, throwing a curveball, excellent/great shot etc, it's still all down to a RNG - random number generator. Which I can't decide if that makes it feel better or worse when you lose out!

DS first catch of the day was shiny kyogre, mine was 100% IV groudon.
We didn’t buy the Go fest tickets as it’d be too much for us but we did enjoy a full day of Pokemon. DS finally got his gyrados and I nearly have my feebas. As well as lots of other evolves today.
Do we know if it’s the same tomorrow or something different?

They're being quite mysterious about Day 2. A local friend has spotted that a Team Rocket Box has appeared in the shop so he thinks there's likely to be a lot of Team Rocket action tomorrow. Not sure my nerves can stand it! Or my pitiful reserve of revives and potions!
