I’ve beaten Arlo too! First time. The successful three were salamance, swampert and cloyster. Arlo has the same lineup as jill with pinecco, steelix and salamance. Steelix was definitely the hardest.

I've managed to beat arlo and cliffe in the balloons as well. Arlo took a couple of goes and eventually won with landorus/ vaporeon and giratina. Think I used the same line up for cliffe except starting with giratina and using metagross rather than landorus. Nothing shiny or legendary though! And I'm struggling for space in my item bag but running short of revives and potions

I’m struggling to beat Arlo, the blastoise keeps killing everything I have. I’ve tried a few different ones and can’t seem to beat it or if I do my third pokemon is in the red already.

I like Jessie and James because I can beat them! I can sometimes beat Grunt but struggle with Arlo and Giovanni. I've been stuck on that task forever. Thanks for the tip on turning off rocket radar.

I’ve had Jesse and James three time now but it’s always the same ekans/koffing set, has anyone had anything different?

Yay, I beat Giovanni this morning. Took about a million tries but got there finally. So got my Suicune, which then counted as a legendary for the research which then gave me a shiny Eevee.

Then on the research it told me to make 3 trades so got DH to trade with me. We sent eachother rubbish Pokémon that only cost 100 stardust but then --- we got a lucky trade!!! So I now have my first lucky Pokémon

No sign of JJ, finally beat Arlo thanks to evolving Dragonite challenge. So much XP!

Upgraded bag storage to 400 and still have loads of gifts I can’t open! Off to use some lure modules and hopefully that’ll help!

I beat Giovanni on my second account (level 35) this morning.
Aggron (level 37) with smackdown and stone edge beat the meowth and got one move off against the garchomp.
Mamoswine (level 30) with powder snow and avalanche beat the garchomp and got three moves off against the suicune. (With little effect!)
Zekrom (level 30) with charge beam and wild charge finished her off.
I found some suggestions on this website, although I completely ignored all of them.

I beat Giovanni this morning with Aggron against Persian, Swampert against Dugtrio & Magneton for Suicune.

Ooh, that gives me hope, Baroness - I am Level 35 now. I find the Persian at the start very hard to beat. I need to work out how to beat him quickly so I am not on my last Pokémon by the time I get to Suicine. Infinite protect shields would also be helpful...

I'm guessing I should probably not be attempting Giovanni at only level 30 on main account! I haven't tried any of the team leaders for a while though, think I only won once by sheer luck at level 26 or something.

'GertrudeDekoe' and 'BlueRoses1999' please could you open gifts if possible and send Ray gifts? He has the Evolve a Dragonair research and so lots of XP coming up
